Answer Engine Optimization
Get your business named in AI answers
When someone in Frisco, Celina or Prosper asks ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI for a plumber, a dentist or a web designer, the engine names three to five businesses. Answer engine optimization (AEO) is the work of becoming one of them. We check whether you are, free, and then do the fixes.
In plain words
What AEO is
Search engine optimization earns your website a position in a list of links. Answer engine optimization earns your business a mention inside the answer itself. The AI does not rank pages; it reads a handful of sources it trusts, decides which businesses fit the question, and names them.
Four things decide whether that is you: whether your website states plainly what you do and where, in sentences an engine can quote; whether you are listed consistently across Google, Bing, Apple, Yelp and the directories the engines read; whether real customers have reviewed you; and whether your pages carry the structured data that tells a machine who you are.
None of it is a trick, and none of it is permanent. Answers change. That is why we measure instead of promise.
How we measure
Counts, not ranks
We write a fixed set of questions your customers would ask ("best orthodontist in Prosper", "who does emergency plumbing in Celina"), run them through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google's AI answers and Copilot on a schedule, and record which businesses each answer names and which websites it relied on.
You get a number you can trust: named in 6 of 40 answers this month, 2 of 40 last month, and the competitors named instead. Never a made-up "rank".
We run the same scan on ourselves. Our own baseline and monthly counts are published here as they come in.
How we work
Three ways in, one honest number

Monthly plan, three-month minimum, cancel after.
What gets fixed
The fix list, in order
- Listings: Google Business Profile, Bing Places, Apple Business Connect, Yelp, chambers and trade directories, all saying the same thing
- Website: a direct answer in the first paragraph of every key page, clear definitions, headings that make sense out of context
- Structured data: LocalBusiness, Service, FAQ and review markup that validates
- Reviews: a simple, honest way to ask happy customers, on the platforms the engines read
- Machine-readable summary: an llms.txt file and explicit permission for AI crawlers
- Proof: claims you can back, with the numbers behind them
What we will not do
No tricks
No fake reviews, no invented statistics, no pages stuffed with city names, no promises of "#1 in ChatGPT". Engines cross-check claims against other sources, and a business caught overclaiming loses more than it gains. We would rather report "named in 3 of 40" honestly and show it climbing.
FAQ
Questions about AEO
What is answer engine optimization (AEO)?
AEO is the work of making a business the one an AI engine names when someone asks it a question, instead of just ranking a link on a results page. It covers how your website is written, how consistently you are listed across the web, your reviews, and the structured data that tells engines who you are.
How is AEO different from SEO?
SEO earns a position in a list of links. AEO earns a mention inside the AI's answer. Much of the groundwork overlaps, but AEO rewards direct answers, clear definitions, consistent listings and verifiable claims more than keywords and backlinks.
How do you measure it?
We write a fixed set of questions your customers would ask, run them through ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google's AI answers and Copilot on a schedule, and count how many answers name you and who is named instead. We report the count and the range, never a made-up rank.
Can you guarantee my business will be recommended?
No, and nobody honestly can; AI answers change from day to day. We can guarantee the fix list gets done and the monthly count is real. In our experience the businesses that are described clearly and listed consistently are the ones that get named.
What does the free check include?
Twenty to forty-five real questions for your trade and city across several AI engines, a one-page report showing how many answers named you, which competitors were named, which sources the engines relied on, and the three fixes that would matter most.
Who is this for?
Owner-run businesses in Frisco, Celina, Prosper and the rest of Collin County that serve local customers: home services, dental and medical, fitness, real estate, restaurants and retail. Remote clients elsewhere in Texas are welcome too.
